When you watch tv or the movies, you’d arrive at the conclusion that dating is only the thing of those in their teenage years or 20s. As if for some reason as soon as another person grows to full adulthood, much less senior citizen age, the concept of love is completely out of the question. This may be more a function of the fact that more individuals in those age groups go to the movies compared to any fact in reality ma romance. But we all know for a fact that love in the sunset years not only may be possible, it could be the sweetest relationship of them all.
Part of the misunderstanding might lie in another false impression or “myth” regarding older persons that they are not capable of sex. There are two levels of fault in such a false impression. The first is the idea that people over fifty are usually sexually inactive. Absolutely nothing could be more wrong. Sex is a healthy element of adult life at all phases of our maturity and senior citizens are just as capable of sex inside their romantic relationships as your most randy teenager, although possibly good deal extra watchful.
The next misconception that may be good to address and put to rest is that even if sexuality is not part of the mix, elderly people are not romantic people. This belief is without a doubt held by people that really don’t spend any quality time with seniors themselves. If anything, the opposite is the truth. If anybody monitored the movie rental patterns of senior citizens, they would see that older persons have a good appetite for romantic comedies and also have a healthy interest in affectionate relationships.
Retirement frequently is a period of great rebirth of the idea of love between senior couples. Married couples who may have seen the romance fizzle in their marriage during the child raising years generally observe that component of their romantic relationship blossom and become more special and exciting than it was when they were dating. If they have managed their own finances properly, senior citizens can be well set up to enjoy an active dating life and enjoy passionate evenings with each other that enhance their lives and keep them upbeat and looking forward to their next romantic experience.
